1998 F-150 Service Engine Light

I have a 1998 F-150 with the 4.3 and I keep getting a Service Engine Light with the code of #1 Cyc Missfire, I have put new wires, Plugs, and it still gives me that code.

Any Suggestions?????

How's it run? Did you disconnect the battery since you did repairs?

Yes I have reset it several times but it seems to come back, I even used the scan tool to reset it after each repair, still comes back, the truck runs good I just can not understand why it comes back.

is there a coil pack for each plug? try switching coil packs see if the code comes back to cylinder 2. If so you need a new coil pack.

There is only one coil pack, not one for each plug, I how ever have been thinking about changing the coil pack anyways.

its probably not the coil pack. next cloged injector. I fix a 98 windstar with Cyl. 1 misfire. it was bad injector. coil pack 80.00 to 100.00. injector 40.00 to 50.00

Never thought about the injector, thanks I will try that this weekend.
