Lightbulb Apacalypse Near?

well with all of these recent natural disasters happening one after the other i thought it was kind of eerie that so many had happened in the new millenium, sure there were quite a few in the last century but not many of them touched OUR soil (US), and with hurricane katrina and 911 happening within 5 years of each other i'm thinking that this might be happening more and more frequently.....maybe signs of the end?.....i dunno let me know what you guys think...

It happens and everybody thinks about it.

My dad was telling me that the most "End Time" messages he heard in church was in the late '60s. He said everybody thought the world was coming apart and everything was going down and no good could come out of it.

He told me there were several Sundays that preaches were saying the time was near and that the world was going to end.

Well we all know it didn't.

Sure, every single day we get closer and closer to the end times. The thing is, in the Bible, it says the end will come when we least expect it.

Re: Apacalypse Near?

Well, israel did pull out of the gaza strip. Isn't there something about that in revelations? As far as peace in the middle east or something?

Re: Apacalypse Near?

There is something in Revelations about that.

A 7 year agreement will be signed where Israel will be basically duped into thinking this agreement will be honored by the other party signing the treaty. 3.5 years into it the treaty it will be broken. Then it begins. At least that's what I get out of it.

Re: Apacalypse Near?

u said "natural disasters" and then listed 9/11 as one of them... what is your definition of "natural" if i may ask??

as for the new "millenium"... the date system is man made... i dont see how the year being past 2000 has to do with anything..

i also dont see what u mean talking about the US soil... the US is not the world... so what does it have to do with the world ending... the bible also doesnt say anything about the US being special or sacred place or mention it at all...

what do i think?

i think im gonna continue living my life like i always have... and hey, if it is the end of the world... who cares... what am i gonna do? stop it?

Will a disaster happen if a city is built below sea level? Probably.

Hurricanes, tornados, & earthquakes are all part of the natural environment on earth. Will bad shit happen if people decide to live in these zones? Probably.

Yeah...I went outside to take a piss the other day and I caused a mud slide.

Thanks for opening up an old wound Rally, you're now on my bad side.

Re: Apacalypse Near?

I think we would kill each other off if we heard inevitable proof of a apacalypse. Seriously, there would be so much chaos that people wouldn't know what to do. If you knew there were 1 or 2 days left for the whole worlds survival, you probably wouldn't be waking up at 6 and jumping in your car to head off to work.

My personal opinion, I don't think the end is near unless we get into a huge war, I mean HUGE. Like China or something. Nuclear bombs and the like.

Ya never know. The world could end tomorrow from something we never expected or it could end tomorrow from something we saw comming for a long time and ignored.

Yeah, but with all the scientists and everything the Earth has, I would think one of them would realize a potentional disaster. I know where your coming from though, there deffinently is a window of opportunity for something to happen and no one know.

Radioactive Ape Testing

And that wouldn't upset me because that would end the world. I'd be upset because it'd mean those damn PETA assholes were right all along.
