tranny problems

sorry to make a new post but here was the problem i have a 1994 grand am with 300000km on and it had no work dont on it i canged the fluid and filter there was no medal chip in ut so that means it dosent need work dont on it if i gun it the tranny wont change gears i have to let go the gass so it can change gears no my uncle has a 2000 grand am and he had almost the same problem he said it was a monulater could it be the same problem on my grand am and if so how much and where is it sorry about the second thread i thought i'll make a new one and make it more clearer

Re: tranny problems

It could be a problem with the vacuum modulator located on the side of the transmission. It is quite easy to change simply remove it and replace it with a new one. The one thing you will need to do is to take a magnet and remove the internal valve and make sure you change the o-ring. Once this is done replace it with a new one reconnect the vacuum line and you should have no further shifting problems.
