5 Gen Maxima owners enter

I am a proud owner of a Nissan A31 powered by a RB25DET. I am coming back to the states in September and I have brought a 2002 Maxima SE. I
have been researching the mods for the VQ35DE both in the US and Japan not coming up with much. Beside intake and exhaust I'm curious what others are doing to get the most from there engine and what figures are they looking at. I have seen superchargers and cams out there ,but I don't want to go that route yet. Any advice ?

I'm not sure they make a supercharger for the VQ35 yet...I know stillen makes one for the VQ30.
Get a Y-pipe...relatively inexpensive mod and will net you 15 hp to the wheels.

headers & downpipe, and an ecu retuning seem to show the best gain(15-20 hp). each one will run you about $600-800

Who all makes headers for the 02/03. I know of Stillen, but they still advertise "off-road use only." Some folks have yearly emissions depending on where they live.

Re: 5 Gen Maxima owners enter

Cattman makes them (www.cattman.com) but they aren't listed on the web page yet because it's being reconstructed. your best bet would be to email them with your inquiries. i sent them an email about their dowpipe and i recieved pictures, dyno's part numbers and more. they seem like a good company to work with and brain catts(owner) is a member of the maxima.org forums.
