Offset Gods...Speak!!
Aight so heres the story...you should have seen my last post...im looking at getting some Advan SA3R ver II's 18x9 (or 9.5) and 18x10...im looking at getting a great offset...i want to fill my fenders (20mm widefenders in front) and (50mm wide fenders in the rear) now with the sizing is chose what would be a good offset? i was thinking (0 for the Rear) and about a (+15) for the front...what do you think...and another question. Is offset realitive to the center of the wheel or what...I.E. (+0 offset) mounting point on wheel being dead center? or where is the offsets realitive to on the wheel it self...just guessing becuase FWD offsets +38 ect...being that there is no lip and dont fit coilovers, that the mounting point is farther toward the outside of the wheel...correct? anywho...enough thinking for 5:30 AM...humor me...

Re: Offset Gods...Speak!!
0 is the center of the wheel, +38 is 38mm towards the outside of the wheel and -12 is 12mm to towards the inside of the wheel. Those offsets sound ok, but maybe not enough. The DF car is running -12 on the front and -43 on the back, lol.

Id think about doing a 17/18 Stagger if I were you.
17s are big enough for the front and are easier to get to full lock than 18s. with a 17x9 with 20mm overfenders a -10ish with 235s and 2.5-3 degrees of camber should work. (Lindsay is doing 17x9 +3 with 235s on stock fenders for reference.) The Rear is harder for me since I could care less about +50 Overs. 18x9.5 +12 Fits Great on stock fenders with 2.5ish Camber and 245 tires... so your 10in would prolly fit good with a -12ish and 255s. but Id look around on zilvia though before I pull the trigger. (bobby boy has the +50s with a good fit wheel) |

Re: Offset Gods...Speak!!
im not looking for a staggared height...so if 18 on the front were to run that big of a clearence problem lock to lock then i would just get some 17's all around. yea i was searching around zilvia and posted the same question and they told me to go with around a -15 in the rear and -0 or so in the front...so i guess we shall see.

Re: Offset Gods...Speak!!
If you get 17s, get a little thicker tires, there's nothing uglier then 30 series tires on 17s on a 240.

Re: Offset Gods...Speak!!
Maybe he was full of shit after all, and yeah an S15 widebody can prolly fit 20s, 19s for sure, an S13 widebody has a lot less room.

Re: Re: Offset Gods...Speak!!
AFAIK SA3Rs dont come in Negative Offset so you'll be using spacers. Ive also heard that the SA3R bends alot. Not to mention they look like 80s dog ass.
Just copy that oneCandy Red RPS13 from Touge Factory's setup and and be done with it. Also whatever wheels you end up with will require extensive hammer action to be low enough to not look gay. just a heads up. P.S. 17/18 Stagger Stallownz 17/17 or 18/18 By Far. 17x9.5 +0 18x10 +10 Volk TE37s > * |

Re: Offset Gods...Speak!!
Actually, I've seen a white One-Via with 17/18 staggered and it looked like ass, the rears looked to big and the fronts looked to small.

the guy wit the widebody s15 was for real... my buddy met him at a tuner show in a town near me, even brought me pics... it looked really nice. his car was mentioned in Modified Mag last month, just a few lines but it was for one of the tuner shows they had a big article on. The HIN in AC i think...? not sure... he said he would be in mags and shit, so when my friends showed me the pics, not even knowin i had seen it before, and then i saw him in the mag i thought it was pretty funny.... sorry to jack the thread
