Arrow 99 gtp First Mod

I just got the 99 gtp bout a week ago and in my opinion the car is fun and all but its not as fast as i thought it woulda been at certain speeds with the s/c and all. Im not tryna get smoked by any ricers while im playin around. so is this 3.4 or 3.5 pulley mod that good of a mod? What all would i have to do. btw im a poor fixed income high school student with like a 400 buck budget... ((if that :-D))
So anyways how much is it and where can i get it from. Im no mechanic or anything but i can find my way around under the hood, would someone like me be able to do a driveway install on it?

the 3.4 is a great upgrade, but not your first upgrade. You need suporting mods first. Some things to get first are either a CAI or FWI, U-bend delete, and new PCM. Then you can get the 3.4. Getting the 3.4 without supporting mods will mean death to the engine in the long run. You can build your own intake for round 50 bucks, the u bend delete at a shop is bout 40-70 bucks n the new computer is round 225. Trust me, do all this first and you wil love the car.

Re: 99 gtp First Mod

You can do the 3.4 as a first mod. You dont need a pcm until your alittle more modded. I would get a modular pulley system so that you'll only need a pulley puller once.

Since your a poor HS kid i would just get a dremal or sawzall and gut your stock air pox. The 99 airbox cuts up pretty good. Then all u need is a k&n.

Take it easy on the burnouts and shit like that. The differentials arent very good.

Re: 99 gtp First Mod

yes a smaller pulley will void warrenties.

You need a pulley puller to remove the stock pulley. go look under your car, see that upside down U. Thats the ubend.

Dont be so confident in that warrenty either. They can come up with a million reasons to void them.
