Mid 91(better go with a 92) to 96 fit. That is the basic engine interchange. This does NOT! include all the myriad of stuff attached to engines..ALWAYS!! best to go with the EXACT! engine. If you can't go exact.Find out what stuff you have to change..and pull it off the bad engine FIRST! making sure it is good.Swap the stuff over while the engine is out..makes it easier.

I'dno where you're looking/want to..but if you head over to carpart.com.
they are online(now) with pretty much every wrecking yard in N.America.Those that are not online are gonna have ti behey just don't have much choice anymore..given the glut of traffic and stuff available on this site..last I read was about 80,000,000 parts available. This site lists parts, availability, location, price and mileage. If you "read into" this site you can also use it as an interchange(actually it IS based on Hollanders Interchange manual).I really like this site for the above reasons..PLUS it can give you a real nice idea of cost, availability.Of course saying you saw it on the internet means it costs you more..BUT a discrete call to the wreckers..and a visit with the wrecking business means CASH talks..gets you a better deal.NO I am NOT affiliated with carpart.com. Good luck.

Re: 1995 ford escort bad engine

I had a bad engine also, took the head off and found the valve seat was missing. yeah, it destroyed the piston / head. Ford must have made o/s bore for the seat. or maybe engine was overheated at one time allowing seat to fall.
