Burb and oil

Hubby noticed yesterday that my '98 Burb needed a quart of oil...he checked for leaks and can't find anything. We just did a road trip from VA to TX..Steve changed the oil while we were in Texas. Any ideas?

My guess would be you are burning it. How many miles on your burb?

Re: Burb and oil

It's not likely that the rings are what's causing the oil loss. Some brands of oil will evaporate. If you aren't into synthetic oil, try an industrial oil like Mystic. I use it in almost everything. A farm supply store carries it. It's actually a very god oil and has a very low evaporation rate.
