Diffrential seal replacement 2000 GRD CHER
My 2000 Grand Cherokee is leaking at both rear axles seals, do new seals have to be bought in a bearing kit? Also, on the differential housing, is the fill plug up behind the gas tank? I wanted to check if the fluid was low before any damage occured. I replaced rear seals on a vehicle I had years ago, I suppose I will have to pull the axles to replace these. If anyone has any tips on this job it sure would help. Thanks

Re: Diffrential seal replacement 2000 GRD CHER
you will need to replace the bearings and the collar that holds it on because they are pressed on the axle shafts and you will destroy them taking them off.the axles do not use c-clips.the fill plug is a rubber plug in the differential cover.by the way ,you need a press to install the seals and bearings
