Are all 4L60Es the same??

I have a 98 1500 305 2wd and my tranny is slipping at high rpms. My dads friends has a 98 C5 that crashed and it has a 4L60E he is willing to sell. Can I drop it in my truck? Do I need to change out the tailshaft or anything from my current trans? If not what trans's will fit?

You might have to change the tailshaft housing, but that should be it. It should all work.
