Replacing Valve Cover Gaskety
I have a 1989 V6 Camry that is leaking oil from the rear (firewall side) valve cover - gasket needs to be replaced. I replaced the front valve cover gasket without any problem. The rear gasket is not so easy! What do you have to remove, take off, etc. to get to the rear valve cover gasket bolts and to remove the cover? Should I replace the O ring on the distributor at the same time I replace the valve cover gaskets? Is it easy to replace the distributor O ring and how do you do it? Any help will be appreciated!

Obviously everything in your way. The upper intake manifold & everything on it, including intake manifold supports.
I would replace the distributor o-ring. It's held to the end of the camshaft by 2 12mm bolts. Remove them & the dsitributor pulls out. Put a timing light to it when you get it back together. (bridge E1 & TE1 in the diagnostics port, the stock timing is 10*btdc. Feel free to advance it a little bit.)
