Just completed: 93 civic coupe redo

This is my recently completed civic. The car was originally painted white but I used the wrong kind of clear coat and it really screwed up the body. So then I just sprayed some gold paint I had laying around on the body and slapped on some decals to hide the imperfections.
Now I have painted the car a light blue. The body is still a little messed up, but it is great considering what I started with. The wheel spokes are painted red to simulate the red annodizing found on some of the rare Volk wheels. The interior features mostly black with red carpeting and red buckets. There are also some aluminum accents.
I got the idea for the color scheme from a blue civic hatch on the cover of the latest issue of Super Street magazine (my favorite rag).

Thank you for checking out my thread and please give me your opinions!

Thanks for the compliments......they really make me want to build more. And yes the paint probably is a lil' thick because it has been repainted a few different times.

great redo...looks very clean and well done overall.

btw wouldn't that civic be pretty fast in real life? With that ITR engine (I think)

Re: Just completed: 93 civic coupe redo

Thank you. I am a DSMer so I'm not too good at distinguishing between ITR b18's, or b16's, or b20's and so-on. All I can tell is that it is a b-series engine. But yeah you are right.....It should be a pretty quick car in real life.

I happen to like my valve cover! I made it to match the different color schemes of the car. It's chrome for the rims, red for the spokes and interior, and carbon fiber for the hood. It's more original than just painting it straight red or black or w/e.
