2000 Beetle power locks problem

Hi Everyone,

My 2000 Beetle's power locks are acting up...When I press the door lock in my remote, the turning lights flash but the locks themselves only make a weird noise, as if they were trying to lock but something did not let them, and they do not lock...

Also, when I insert the key in the lock the driver's side lock does come down, but not the passenger's side lock...

The lock/unlock button in the door pannel does the same effect..A funny noise at the doors but nothing happens.

What is going on????

Thanks in advance

mabeetle

I know there is a coding where you can have just the driver side unlock and not he passenger. If someone replaced the window regulator clips recently and decided to break the plastic bracket that holds the lock motor to the regulator pannel, the door locks problably wont work like thet are supposed to.
