I'm screwed!

A few months ago i ordered a new clutch for my baby at the local 4x4 store. I paid 250 upfront for it and he said he would call me in 2 weeks when it came in. the call never came So i called back and guess what, he lost my papers and the clutch was never ordered. now i need to find the reciept from 2 months ago or else i'm probably going to end up getting raped. so my question for you is, where would a 17 year old male put a reciept for a clutch?????
Please, help a brotha out.

NEVER PAY UPFRONT! You deserve it!! Tell the guy you need the clutch, then he will order it. When the part comes in, you pay him. OF COURSE HE IS GOING TO "LOSE" THE ORDER. You GAVE him 250 dollars. He made 250 dollars WITH OUT having to actually order anything. Of course if you didn't pay him up front, he WOULD order the part because he wants that 250 dollars. I say again, you deserved it. :o

 What monkey and what bumper????!!!

with regards to the receipt hiding, I throw most of my receipts away and he's probably done the same to destroy the evidence.

Thats great because he wouldn't even order it without atleast 50% paid upfront, damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Next time use a money order. They're guaranteed, and tracked through the bank. So you can tell whether he's cashed it or not. Or, use plastic. (yeah, I know, you're only 17) You can dispute charges on a credit card if you don't get the item.

As for the reciept, check in your glove box. And on top of your dresser. And in your wallet. If you have a desk, look there too...oh, and maybe it's under the seat of your car?

Oh, look, RockinTheAstro! You're being moderated by a female young'un!

jacket pockets sometimes work man and i know that this is from my religion, but if i lose something i pray to St. Anthony to help me find things....helps me alot...maybe cuz i go 2 church every week dunno....but also maybe the laundry room in your house, that's where my dad's receipts go because he always leaves them in his pockets. if not maybe it's around the computer or near a spot where there's alot of mail and/or newspapers that hasn't been sorted out...hope these suggestions help.
