Talking anyone like a sleeper?(56k warn)

Hey all havent been on here in ages

But I'm back with a new car and its a bit of sleeper, (you can see a front mount however )

Car: 1989 Toyota Corolla Seca
Engine: ae92 4AGZE (thats supercharged 1.6L 4cylinder off a levin front cut)
MODS:
- levin supercharged gearbox (its magic)
- levin dash
- ae82 bigport 4age cams
- two rb30et fuel pumps (thats off a vl turbo for u aussies)
- galant vr4 front mount intercooler with custom chrome piping
- k/n box air filter
- ApeXi AFC II
- NEVO oversized crank pulley set at ~ 13psi
- full 2 1/2" system with cat, resonator, 4-2-1 headers by Genie (its hell quiet!, just whines like a kettle)
- lovell low springs and koni shocks
- 2002 16" levin rims
- bigger brakes from the front cut (pretty shithouse to be honest)

Havent run it down the quarter but estimating high 13s with slicks judging by what it goes on the street, estimating 185hp at the fly?

should dyno it soon

what can i say! the car is a blast to drive it munches a bit of fuel, but i cant whipe the smile off my face after driving it. It whines so nice man

will get more pics up when i have the time,

granny cars on boost rock

Even with slicks I don't think that 185HP at the flywheel will be enough to get you into the 13s unless you've done some weight reduction. However, I must say that is a VERY nice looking Corolla. You have a fine sleeper on your hands there. The wheels fit the car very well.

You should have it run on a dyno, see what you're putting at the wheels.

I looked up some numbers and a guy with 134 to the wheels was running in the 16s. I bet you could hit in the low 15s to high 14s in that thing if you're putting down the power you're expecting.

That's probably one of the best sleepers I've seen though. Good job man

Re: anyone like a sleeper?(56k warn)

supercharged gearbox means its the one off a supercharged levin, eg the gearbox engine brakes all come in the front cut.

Musclestang: my mate has an ae82 twin cam hatchback with a 4age blacktop 20valve it revs to 8000rpm, that car is running 15s with just a 1.6L, so i find high 15s for my car rather rediculous.

The car does run CONSISTENT mid to low 14s, you have to go in the car to appreciate this, it revs to 7700rpm, but im making boost all across the rev range. I have confidently pulled away from cars that claim to run 14s, doing the maths on paper doesnt always equate to how quick the car runs.

However I will get it dynoed(and run down the 1/4) soon enough to see the exact figures, and some engine bay shots hopefully tomoro

cheers

Wow, very nice looking sleeper you got there. Definantly get those numbers. We are all interested in how it performs.

I completely agree!

I have to disagree there. WHP-Weight-Gears should give you a pretty good estimate of a trap speed. Then it is pretty much just a matter of traction for the ET.

I would guess low 14s/high 13s depending on its weight and launch. How much does it weigh?

Re: anyone like a sleeper?(56k warn)

the car weighs around the 1000kg mark, give or take 50kg, and remember nearly twice the stock boost.

here is the engine bay!

and the interior! take note of the little switch near the steering wheel letting me turn the supercharger on and off for economy.

Re: anyone like a sleeper?(56k warn)

Nice car, but I don't think you'll run 13's with it, nor would I consider it a sleeper. I consider a sleeper car/truck/etc.. something that runs in the 13's, but doesn't look like it.

Clean nonetheless.
