deltron 2000 and a clearcoat zebra

Well, I'v now painted my car, and my hood will not let me paint it without striping. I've shot it twice and this time is pretty much like the last. It looks perfect in the sunlight after the metalic is applied, then once it gets clearcoat is looks slightly striped. I have been following the MFG instructions for minimum time to clear it which is 15 minutes. I'm about to after another few days sand it again but this time shoot the color and just let it dry for a few days. Then sand it then clear it. If anyone knows whats gong on please tell me. Its definately an interaction with the clear Ijust don't know why. The gun is HVLP, any tips out there? And has anyone really rebuilt a 84 vette I've got a few million questions.
