Crankshaft position sensor
What are the symptoms of a CPS that needs replacement? Im trying to figure out whats wrong with my car. When it warms up after a few minutes of driving, it will frequently shudder or rattle, like something is slipping or stuck. feels like the transmission maybe, but i want to try easier and cheaper fixes first.

Re: Crankshaft position sensor
get the ohms reading from the cps sensor. what is it? give each terminal a continuity test to a good known ground. there should be no continuity.
symtoms of a bad cps = misfires. you will definately get CELs for that. shudders, rattles, slipping, stuck = could be anything.
