Question 95 Astro AWD replaced front shocks.problems

Hi, replaced the front shocks (both) on my Astro van with monro'matic gas shocks...(supplied by dealer, checked parts #'s, correct shocks)...and now the van looks like it's ready for a drag race!!! front is WAY down, tyres are nearly rubbing top of wheel arches. Anyone have any ideas what went wrong or how to get correct ride height; : it was O.K. before.
Checked Monroes help page; not sure if should have had vehicle up on ramps to do shock change, rather than up on axle stands, with wheels off ? Can anyone offer any advice please ?

Did you clip the wire binder that keeps the shock depressed?
If so, you've got the wrong shocks.

why would you go with the cheap ass gasmatics.. when you can go with sensatracs with a lifetime warranty for not too much more.. way better ride..

Thumbs down

Crawled further under van.......found broken torsion bar on drivers side...kinda solves mystery eh?! Gonna shop for used part......$400.00 for new part...gotta be kidding! Don't need anything fancy, don't use van much with gas prices this high. Thanks for replies/suggestions.

Boy I made that mistake - cheap shocks.
At first they were certainly better than the worn out pos's that were there. One good bounce and the spindle on the front right shock ripped out and bent on the down stroke. Got sensatracks on it now. No more twenty dollar gabriels for me.
