Quick FC sketch

This little sketch was done in about 5 minutes.

I already know there are a few errors:

- The back end is off a bit. Makes the car look stubby.
- The "GTX" sticker is in front of the tire when it should be behind it.

It's on red cardboard because that's just what was on hand at the time. I needed something to do on break...

Tell me what you think! Criticism can help me hone my skills, so throw your thoughts my way!

Re: Quick FC sketch

Nice drawing.
Initial D is a cool manga. It is like nostalgia for people who grew up in the 90s.

Re: Quick FC sketch

OK so I saw "FC" in the title which meant I had to click it. OK so nobody is perfect, but the wheels/tires? What are they doing?

Re: Quick FC sketch

Ok I see you know a lot of details of your car, but the perspective is off.

When I look at the drawing, it seems like thar car would look like that:

(top view)

If you choosethe more front view, the front bumper is good but the side is far too wide. otherwise, if you choose the angle you drew the side with, you need to make the left end of the bumper smaller. (vanishing points).

Try it with box design next time. Draw a box in the angle you want to show the car with, then add the cars shape and finally details.

Re: Quick FC sketch

Like you said yourself, the rear end seems a bit short with the angle its at, but I think its ok after that.

Re: Quick FC sketch

The perspective is whacked. I know. I'm still getting the hang of it.

As I said before, this was done quickly on a work break, so I didn't have time for a box or anything.

Thanks for the input. There'll be more scans coming in soon.
