Milling the head...

I had a couple of friends suggest that I mill the head on my '96 EX.
Do you all suggest this or would I just be wasting my time & $$?
Also, how much would I be gainning performance wise & how much I would be spending if I remove the head myself?

Thanx for response in advance!

milling the head is probably the worst way to make horsepower....it will make power though because it will raise the compression ratio. It's pretty safe unless you take a lot off.

It also tends to mess with timing and belt slack. NAWS works alot better.
