fiberglass truck cap

I would like any tips on the storing of my truck cap. I am not using it at the present, and would like to have out of the way(like attached to the garage ceiling).

A friend of mine had a nice system. It consisted of 4 small pullies attachd to hooks in the ceiling and 2 boards with eye bolts on each end. Undo the cap, slide under the boards, hook up the ropes and haul on up. A one man operation.

Re: fiberglass truck cap

Hanging the cap in the air is a good idea, but sometimes dangerous, and could crack the fiberglass if the cap fell, get some friends, take off the cap, lay the cap on the ground on top of some wood, do not use pressure treated, wax, clean, and cover with a breathable cover. I did this 8 years ago from an old truck, and the cap still looks brand new.
