Frustrated in Illinois

Hey guys. I'm having trouble with my 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix SE. The car appears to have trouble shifting into 2nd and 3rd gear. The car will jerk upon shifting gears. Along with that, if I ease up on the accelerator, the car jerks a little bit. It's been an on-going problem for about five months. I've had it in to a couple different shops, but have had no luck. Also, the car only seems to jerk when it hits the first quarter mark on the temperature gauge. If anybody could lend some thoughts, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Mitch

Re: Frustrated in Illinois

it sounds like you have a shift solenoid sticking. Try some Seafoam or Trans-X additive and see if it cures itself, otherwise, you need to replace the solenoid(s)
