2000 Bonneville Blower Motor

my 2000 bonneville SLE just started to make an incredibly loud vibrating noise from the HVAC blower when the blower speed is above the 3rd setting. below the 3rd setting is still make noise, but not as loud. everything else (hot and cold) still works, it is just loud.

i suspect i have a bad bearing or something on the motor and was planning to replace the whole motor. could it be anything else?

has anyone else had the problem and had success with repairing it themselves? please post any tips you may have.

thanks in advance!

ryan
