In progress: Toyota Supra
I started to build this model about a year ago but then i just left it, but now i have almost finished my first engine. i dont know what colour to paint it yet but im sure it will look good.
When i took it out of the packaging, to my dismay, i found a huge bit missing from the bottom on the chassis. Im not sure if there was a problem with the machine that was making it or something but i think it spoils it from the back and bottom. Hope you like it Tom

Re: In progress: Toyota Supra
holy cr*p! That's a huge chunk!
Does the the edge of the gap have soft edges, or jagged ones, which could imply if it was broken or just wrongly molded. I'd at least order a new part, and try to get it for free if it was a mold error. Anyway, underbody looking nice apart from the gap. Also if this is your first engine you did a great job! Are you going to add hose and wires, or will you be saving it for a later build?

Thanks for the reply, i know i should get a new piece for it but the kit is so old and i would have to spend ages again painting and building the suspention.
I have put a couple of wires in but im not sure if they look right or not. Also i dont know where to get some hose from or where to put it! Thanks for the good advice, and the edge of the gap is smooth. Thanks Tom I had to sand and repaint some of the engine to make it fit underneath the hood. Im not sure if the wires look right or not, and i still need to do some more layers in area's

Re: In progress: Toyota Supra
they came with the kit. it's a AMT-ERTL Fast and the Furious Supra kit. i'm sure the Aoshima one has them, too, since they are copies.
