full exaust upgrade today an all i can say is wow
well i have put mods into my geo engine. so i was reading up on exaust an decided to upgrade my entire exaust. so i bought headers. then when they arrived i put on the header an downpipe only to find that the downpipe was 1 inch short so i figured heck the shop is right up the street so ill drive it up there in the morning to get the rest done.next morning i get up go outside (forgot i didnt connect the downpipe) an vruuuuuuuuuuuuum pop pop pop pop. an i was sittin in the car like
 . it was so loud i thought i had a alchohol dragster. then i drove up the street with my foot lightly on the pedal an it was insane cuz people was looking like wtf does he got under that hood. then i get near the shop an see some girls outside so i figure auh what the hell i pop it down in low gear an punch it an man im tellin u the sound was awsome. so i get to he shop an told him to put on 2 1/2 inch piping all the way back to the muffler an a free flow cat. so i pick it up later he was like man that exaust gave your car some kick so i jump in it with exitement an start i up. my prism started to give out a low rumble so i go out on the road an punch it an to my amazment the car was puling harder an faster. i will have videos a pictures soon

His car is actually turboed if anybody isn't aware.
Nice. Exhaust can make a hell of a difference. I know upgrading my 2.5" crush-bent downpipe to a 3" mandrel-bent downpipe made a huge difference.

Yeah running open-downpipe on a turbod car makes one hell of a difference...both in power and your permenant hearing loss.

Wait wait, I thought he was running just high compression pistons 10.5:1 in a rebuilt Toyota motor...
Yeah, open headers are loud. The exhaust from the downpipe/collector back fell off of my old 944 the third day I had it, and that 2.5L sounded like a jet airplane on the way home that night... oh yeah, love the owls... very wise!

its amazing how loud the car is with no exhaust..my buddy ran his Civic for a week without an exhaust, it was soooo loud, we were both embarassed to drive around in it...we looked so rice!

try running it straight out the turbo... yeah... we did that on my bros 2.0l. still not as bad as a 2.8l chevy v6 motor with no exhaust. louder than a freight train.
