Re: sad 2.8 v6

put your money into the bird, once that's all said and done look into an engine swap for the 2.8

the 2.8 isnt that much and it doesnt have ALOT of aftermarket out there.
Stock HP on the Camaro is like 135, and the car should be in the 17 sec range for the 1/4..

So its obvious that it'd be way better to work on the Bird, WAY better. since it wont be that hard to find an automatic transmission or a manual if that's what was in it before. Check junkyards and theres also alot of sites out there that sell em.

Re: sad 2.8 v6

well.. heres what i would do.. first get the bird going.. 350s rock! then, start sticking some extra money aside.. whether it be only 10 bucks or so a week, the money will start adding up.. and when you get enough to do something with, swap a 350 into the camaro. or just sell the camaro and buy more parts for the firebird..

but let me tell you from experience, you can buy a $200 part here, and a $150 part there for your sixer, but it wont make that big of a gain for the amount of money you're paying. and no matter what anyone tells you, you'll never be satisfied, because its not a v8..

Re: sad 2.8 v6

^ sadly that is true. by the way rs92 umm he listed so much stuff i dont remember. but what i do remember performance wise is a cam, oversized injectors. he did somethiong with intake dont remember what he was saying,4 inch exhaust all the way through with a flowmaster, 8mm wires, its a 5 speed, ummm aluminum heads, roller rockers i think, ummmm and thats all i remember. but he thinks it has close to 500 hp. i wanna dyno test it when i get it. its a 305 with under 10,000 miles. oh and its got sub frame connectors and some other suspension and body stiffening stuff. and im gonna put a posi unit in it and box the panhard bar and rear control arms. oh whats the deal with torsen rearends? and to keep this on topic, basically dont expect much from a 2.8 but good luck

Dont think so about the 500 HP from a 5.0, but it sounds good ANd hey it has less than 10K on it, it's good enough.
