no vtec help!!!!!

i have a 90 civic hatch si with a jdm b16a obd0 i put my battery in my trunk a few days ago and now vtec will not engage and when it does it is only momentarily and in addition it is redlining at about 7000. it redlines at 8250 and i have not had any major problems. i have the battery grounded pretty good. the motor is pretty good too with grounds. please help.

check the oil level.

From what I've been told one of the major causes for loosing vtec is a drop in oil pressure. Check your oil.

i would only think of oil pressure and grounding issues. how do u have the battery grounded? i have mine grounded to the strut bolt which the ground also makes contact with the frame and i grinded down the paint so i have a frame and chassis ground. i dunno if that makes any sense to u lol

yeah that makes sense to me. i will give it a whirl and get back on that but my battery is grounded good. anyway how do your coilovers ride, i just ordered my suspension.
