Stereo Help Please

I really need someone's help. I have a 2002 grand am and I went to put in a new stereo and it has power to open it up but nothing else, no panel or display or sound. I did have theft lock in the one I took out but the guy at the store said that won't matter. I am really hoping someone can help me with this as the stereo that was in it was a stock stereo and the cd player didn't work. This is what I bought for it so far the stereo kit, the wiring harness, and the adapter for the antenna...

The only reasonable thing I can come up with is you got a non-working deck. Have someone at the store switch it out with another. Hope that helps.

I just took that deck out of a another car so I know it works as of 3 days ago. The cover opens but no other power.
