Thumbs down another issue to ad to my list

My 97 GTP has started jumping foreward a little bit when Im driving at a steady pace. It doesnt always do it, but its getting more often. Today it seemed to happen more while driving up a hill. Any ideas?

You may have a problem with the torque convertor solenoid. Or the Pressure control solenoid in the transmission. Both cost about $500 at a transmission shop to repair. Take it and have it diagnosed by a tranny shop. Don't rely on a dealer as they will charge you a fortune.

Oh boy. Thanks for the reply. You wouldnt say that it would have anything to do with the fuel pump or filter then?

Doubtful since you are driving at a steady speed and when you go up hill you feel it surge. I have a similar problem and I have tracked it to the tranny. Although if you get an engine light it is possible that it is caused by an engine misfire. When did you change plugs and wires last! That could be caused by a fuel filter being partially clogged.
