K&N

I'm looking on K&N's website for part numbers for intake upgrades for my truck and it lists 2 different options. There's the FIPK Gen2 and the 77 series high flow performance kit. On the website it lists the horsepower increase for the FIPK is 9.11 where the 77 series is 8.22. Is this the only difference between the 2? The pictures shown look almost identical except the FIPK is plastic and the 77 series is metal. I've read where most of ya'll have the FIPK but haven't heard much about the 77 series. Anyone have it? Do you like it?

Re: K&N

I have the 77 series, but I'm not sure of a performance difference b/t the two. I love it, and it looks great.

Re: K&N

Supposedly the FIPK stands for something like Fuel Injection Performance Kit. Better tuned to todays engines or so they say...

Re: K&N

No diff other than the tube material. They used a different truck for each.So you would get the same results with either.Look at the bottom where it lists the dyno info.
