hood latch wont function right
im have been having problems for a long time with the hood latch for my 95 grand prix se. whenever i want to open the hood of my car, i have to have someone pull up and down on the hood release latch, and i have to have someone else pull up on the hood itself. both at the same time too. the hood just doesnt open by itself anymore. i dont know how to fix this and i dont have knowledge of cars, but i would like to get it fixed. i could prolly do it on my own if anyone knows about this? thanx in advance.

Re: hood latch wont function right
if your car has a spring under the hood, try stretching it by hand. Those springs lose their tension, so they don't push hard enough to "pop" the hood. It's a common problem with trucks and cars with bug deflectors on them, the extra weight of the deflector overpowers the spring.
