94 Camry transmission

Please help...
1994 Camry XLE V6
Engine running good but car won't move.
When first start engine ,I can hear strange noise from tranmission area and the car will be able to shift to R or D and move.
After couple second when the noise dispeard and the can can't move anymore. Thank

Try flushing the transmission and see if that helps. That is the only thing I can think of short of expensive repairs.

The clutch. Either the clutch disks are worn or the clutch engagement mechanism is not working properly. Either case, you are facing major repair. Changing or flushing the tranny may help. When was the last time you change the tranny oil? Have you tried shifting to different gear to see if any works?

Of course there may have other possibilities. If possible, take your car to a shop specialize in tranny. They normally can give you free check up and estimate.

Let me know if your going to part her out. I have the identical car.

Did you notice any leakage of trans fluid just prior to this event. Or any leakage over a long period of time that you didn't care to investigate?

Check your transmission dip stick and make sure you have fluid!

I found the trouble, Fram transmission filter that I was changed year ago clogged.I open the filter and clean up and it run now. Thanks again.
