Re: Need some help!!!

Autozone sells power window motors for like 99 bucks or right around there and they come with a lifetime warranty but ebay I am sure sells them too. Any window motors are better than the crappy stock one's. As for A/C, what exactly do you need?. A compressor?. Brake rotors are very easy to install. You just need to remove the wheel and caliper (they use a allen socket) then you simply place it on and install everything on again. Only part that may give you a little trouble is compressing the caliper piston but with a c clamp or screw driver against the old rotor it will go back in the bore fairly easily. The window motor is somewhat of a pain in the ass but here's the direction on how to change one http://shbox.com/page/windowmotor.html . I am unsure of which A/C piece needs to be changed but I will try to clarify when you let me know.

Re: Need some help!!!

Hi john;

thank you very much for your help. well, about the a/c l really do not know what l need. but here is the problem; l took the car to the dealer and they charged the a/c and one day a/c wokred good, but then hot again. and we charged it again, it started to make cold again, but in 2 hours, hot again. we think there is a leak in the airconditioning. so it means do l have to buy a new a/c system or a leak is fixable?

if you need to ask a question about this, ask me please, l will reply right away.

thank you

Erdal

Re: Need some help!!!

It depends on what it leaking. If your talking about the A/C condensor leaking, Those can be found pretty cheap on ebay.

Re: Need some help!!!

well, l do not know.. l think l will take the car to HVAC. somebody told me that they have really good system and they can find the leak wherever it is and you wouldnt have to replace the a/c system.

thank you john..

Re: Need some help!!!

You cannot feel the ABS on a car unless you lock the brakes up.
If you need A/C parts from an LS1 car, I have some of them I can sell you.

Re: Need some help!!!

hi mr.luos;

well, l meant, when l hit the brake all the way down. brake even do not lock my wheels. normally ABS locks brakes too but not like normal brake but mine is not doing anything. and l cannot stop the car. when l hit the bake, l do not know when the car is gonna stop. normally when you hit the brake, you know when it is gonna stop because you are controlling it but mine is not like that. and l am telling you mr.luos, normally if you hit the brake all the way down and accelerate the car shouldn't mover right? mine is still moving. brakes are not stopping the car. l definetly have problem, but l do not know what is that, as soon as l can, l will take my car to one of just brakes stores. about a/c, l will make somebody to check my car and then l will know what l need. l will contact with you, if l need some parts for it.

thank you very much for helping.

Re: Need some help!!!

Ok, that sounds like your brakes are bad. Do you have ANY brakes? Or does it just take al ong time to stop. If your ABS wasnt working, and you nailed the brakes while driving, your wheels would lock up (trust me, I know about that ) but with ABS your wheels will pulse preventing your wheels from locking up.

Re: Need some help!!!

yeah my brakes are bad, l am sure of it. well as youy said, if my ABS wouldnt work, then when l hit the brake, it would lock the brakes. but it is not even locking the brakes. sometimes l test my brakes, l drive like 40 miles per hour and l hit the brake suddenly, the car just slows down and while it is almost stop it just lock the wheels like half second and car stops. l mean, if something would happen immediately, l have NO CHANCE. thats why l do not drive my girl. l alwyas stay at home or use my wife's car or walk.

and l cannot afford right now, thats why l cannot take it a mechanic.

Re: Need some help!!!

Check the fluid level on the master brake cylinder. As that gets lower, pedal will go further to the floor.
They may also need bled.

Re: Need some help!!!

If your car has ABS the brakes will NEVER lock up, that's the way it's supposed to be. ABS stands for ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM, key words ANTI-LOCK. Just wanted to clarify that because it didn't look like you caught it. From the sounds of it, your ABS is functioning properly.

Also if your car has enough power, your wheels will still spin when you hold the brake and hit the gas.

As long as your ABS or BRAKE light isn't on in your dashboard, your wheels aren't squeaking, your pedal doesn't go straight to the floor, and your car stops in a reasonable distance then your brakes are fine.

It just sounds like you're expecting to hear the screeching of tires when you slam the brakes, and you're concerned because you don't. Well with ABS you'll never hear schreeching of the tires when braking, maybe only a chirp or two, like you described.
