1994 shadow check engine code

Well, I went to get my check engine codes in my shadow and it appears that the last owner fixed all the problems by taking out the check engine bulb!! I replaced it and the codes came up code# 21 oxygen sensor (thats why I checked the codes, it is running like poop), code#15 a speed sensor (my speedometer stops every once in a while, so this could be right) and code# 37 a torque converter unlock solenoid circuit. What the heck is this and how do I fix it ........ I just through a for sale sign on it and now it has problems, that always the way it is.

1994 shadow ES 2.5L automatic

Thanks

Re: 1994 shadow check engine code

Code 37: It means the speeds at which your transmission change gears (upshift/downshift) relative to the engine speed is out of range.
The code is set, but does not set the check engine light.

If you have the 3-speed transmission, there is a cable used by the transmission for detecting engine speed. It connects up to the gas pedal and is seperate from your throttle. A typical problem is that this cable falls off causing the transmission to shift late.

The 4-speed transmission uses a TCM and is controlled electronically.
