Sometimes very high idle
2001 3.1 sometimes the idle goes to 1500 or a bit higher on idling at a light. Not all the time. Anyone know what the issue might be? Usually when I shut off the car and restart, it goes back to normal.

might be your mass airflow sensor is dirty and not reading correctly.
is your air filter clean/new
