Brake Light

A week ago me and my friend went out to eat, he said here look at my this pic on my phone so he shoved it in my face and I couldnt see the road and I hit the curb about 55 MPH and I scratched my rim and put a gash in my tire. Now ever since that when I punch the throttle the brake light comes on for a half a minute then shuts off. But the brakes work fine. What could be wrong?

Re: Brake Light

it might be a co-incidence. The master cylinder on your car has a fluid level sensor it it. You might be a little low on fluid, causing the light to come on during hard acceleration as the fluid sloshes around, then go back off as the fluid levels back off.

Re: Brake Light

If fluid level is full, and it still happens then you may want to look at the emergency brake switch. It may be possible you kicked a wire or part of it and caused it to be loose. While the car is running in Park, try grabbing the E-Brake pedal with your hand and move it around. Also , try moving the switch to see if its loose
