|
cruise control problem
searched the forum and couldnt find a solution. when i try to turn the cruise control on i get nothing. light in the cluster doesnt come on. i tried setting a speed anyway and get nothing. tried lookin for a fuse and can't find anything. any ideas?

Check the connector on the front of the cruise control actuator. It is probably loose or disconnected. The actuator is next to the battery by the rear of the radiator

ok figured out the CC problem along with the shift lock problem and maybe my radiator fan problem. after finally being able to download the service manual i was able to track the ECU-IG (15A) fuse to the CC, shift lock and radiator fan. the fuse was blown so i replaced it.
but after a few minutes of idling it blew again. so now im lost again. time to print up the wiring diagram. any clues whut could cause this? im thinking maybe a bad fan relay. later ill replace the fuse again and see if it blows when the fan tries to kick on. luther
