2003 Sport Trac Brake Light Problem

Hi guys, on my Sport Trac whenever I brake like coming to a stop sign I notice my emergency brake light comes on and then goes off a second after I release the brake. I've made sure the brake is fully released, and can only imagine that it is a sensor problem. Any ideas?

Re: 2003 Sport Trac Brake Light Problem

Most likely the fluid level in the master cylinder's resiviour is low because your brake pads are too thin. When it sloshes the warning light comes on, but don't top off the fluid its still there just in the caliper piston bores. It will go back up when you put new pads on.
