so my mechanic said my neitral safety switch for my 97 cherokee has passed on... because i'm pretty clueless about these things i'm wondering, does $450 (parts and labor) sound reasonable for fixing this?

Re: neutral safety switch
A new one at Autozone costs $229 (plus tax). You can find them cheaper if you shop around. So your mech wants about $200 in labor. Sounds high to me for a one hour job.
