Angry My 96' doesnt always start.

When i go out and start my car it doesnt always want to start. it is mostly on real hot days. it will just sit there and spin. it will try to turn over but just wont grab. i ran the tank to nearly no fuel and replaced the battery. still nothing. when i took it to the dealer they couldnt find anything wronge and sent me on my way. now it does have 173,000 miles and is just getting old but when it turns over it runs like a new caddy. please help.

Re: My 96' doesnt always start.

Sounds like a weak spark. Have you tried changing the plug wires or check/change the coils?

Re: My 96' doesnt always start.

You have to take the plenum off to get to the rear 3... Does the front 3 spark when you turn the engine over? It should try and grab at least even if your problem is with the back 3.
