I have a 1997 MK4 Fiesta Chicane which I bought last year. Every MOT it has had it has needed new front wishbones, except for last year when I had it!!. Recently I had it serviced and the mechanic mentioned that they will probably fail this time round. I was wondering if anyone knows if this is a job I can do from home with a Haynes manual or whether its best to get it done at a garage.
Any help would be great Thanks Richard |

it is possible to do at home. it all depends on how handy you are with the spanners. you can replace the arms as a unit or i think off hand you can just buy the bush which is about a five or 10 pounds. bushs abit harder to replace but a large hammer will do it. give yourself at least an hour each side. you might need a second pair of hands though to help.
