GT28 Turbo
Anyone in here running the GT28 turbo from a stock S-15 engine??
If so feedback would be appreciated. I'm trying to decide on a trubo for my SR. I do not want to top mount.

Average HP Number - 280ish WHP Cams, Tune, 1.2Bar - 320ish WHP Id do everything else first with the T25 (Standalone, Manifolds, Injectors) to get it above the 250WHP mark and then get a Spec-R T28 and Tomei 256s... as a matter of fact... thats exactly what im going to do once I get the rest of the car perfect. T28 - 7-800$ Stock S15 Ball Bearing GT28 - Dunno much about it... its a T25 Turbine with a big compressor I think GT28RS - The Bandwagon Turbo. Sport Compact has it. Same max Hp as Stock S15 |

Re: GT28 Turbo
yea you def quoted some miss info on the Disco Patatoe (gt28rs) very good turbo...goes to around 350hp...not much higher than that though...The S-15 spec-R T28DD is topped around 320whp....GT28RS is a way better buy...and if you have another $300 to spare...take no short cuts and get the gt2871r...excellent turbo...quick spool up and high WHP #'s...good to 400hp...depending on the A/R you decide to go with...

Re: GT28 Turbo
If you have a T25 with bolt ons (Exhaust,FMIC,Intake,Fuel Mods) The S15 BB will make around 280WHP. once you add Cams, ECU, and Manifolds the T28 will make around 320 at 1.2bar
I personally think that if you going to be doing all that...you might as well get something alittle better than just a stock turbo...becuase soon enough you'll have to reflash the ECU becuase your gonna want another turbo anyways...and why would you boost a stock turbo to 1.2 bar anyways...thats what 15psi...anywho...i just like the sound of a gt2871r turbo anywho...i guess im impartial though. and btw its never good to max a turbo...if your going for a 320 range...go for something that maxes at 320hp...going for 350...go for 400..ect ect...just better for the turbo...unless you want to replace it often
