2000 c-1500 hard start

I have a 2000 c-1500 5.3 litre v-8 with 100000 miles. For the last year, the truck runs and idles fine but it will not start the first time they key is turned over when it is cold. It will start right up and run fine the second or third time you turn it over, and will restart fine if it is shut off for a short while. It seems the hotter the outside temperature the harder it starts. I have an obd2 code reader that does not show any trouble code. I have replaced the evap vent valve, purge valve, charcol canister, fuel filter, spark plugs and wires. It still does the same thing. It has done this for about a year and has not gotten any better or worse. Please help, Thanks.

My Silverado Z71 5.3 has that exact same problem!!! I have 97,777 miles so that's just about the same as you. I haven't looked into fixing it, just because it usually fires right up after the second or third turn. In addition to the starting sometimes when it does fire up I get white smoke, not blue, just pure white SOMETIMES out of the exhaust. Maybe thats another thing but just letting you know all the things thats going on with mine.

I have the exect same problem as all of you and i know alot of people who do. After replacing the fuel psi. regulator. It helped for a day then after that did it again. It is the fuel pump. On mine when you first start it up the fuel gauge jumps up and down for a little bit. You can get the fuel pump and sending unit to fix both problems. But to fix starting problem it is the fuel pump.
