Re: Please help..a quick question

it would be less expensive for you to just buy a vr4 with better mileage than to get that and do a complete swap, cuz you still wouldn't be a "vr4" technically, because the vr4 has stuff the base model doesn't.

Re: Please help..a quick question

don't let high mileage fool you, as long as the car's been upkept well and didn't take a beating from the previous owner, than it should be okay.

Re: Please help..a quick question

Dropping in a vr4 engine, takes alot of extra parts, you basically need a donor vr4...not just an engine. If you look up TT conversion, you'll find plenty of info

Re: Please help..a quick question

alright everyone the stealth deal is looking good right now im actually going to go check out the car saturday and if everything goes right ill be driving it home...i got another question for those willing to help .. i really want to slap on some turbos so can any one recommend some aftermarket turbos or does dodge make a turbo kit for the rt that i can purchase? also from reading the team 3s web page it says the rt makes 205 hp at 4500 rpm and 222 at 6k.is there any way of getting that to a base of around 250+ pre turbo hp..with upgraded intake, exhaust headers etc etc..i dont really race much now but i like knowing that i can take someone if the decide to act funny at a light...any help is appreciated

thanks in advance
greg

Re: Please help..a quick question

Well, if you read the FAQ and do some searching this gets discussed every 4 days. Twin turboing an NA will require alot of parts...probably a donor vr4. There is no 'kit'. You need to do it all yourself. Most go with vr4 td04-9b turbos because even at that point traction becomes an issue. There are those who have gone with larger td05 turbos, and you can talk with them (importpoweronline, hotshot, etc)

Also there is a section on 3si.org/forum devoted to forced induction SL and base models. Check that out, as alot of your questions can be answered with a few searches.

As far as other upgrades, check out the NA upgrading bible in our FAQ.
