exhaust leak?

hey guys,

just a quick question, i own a 91' galant GSR (auto). which has a hole in the exhaust system [middle pipe i think] and im just curious, does that decrease the take off of the car? coz when i floor it from stopping, its as slow as taking off normally, in other words, where's all the torque?!

also, with this exhaust leak, does it drain more fuel than its suppose to? because i've noticed the needle going down heaps faster.. thnx!

Re: exhaust leak?

Loss of back pressure can effect your low end torque, but unless you are missing the whole dam pipe. i dont think its the leak causing hte power loss.
