96 Blazer wont start

96 Blazer 4.3 will crank put wont start.the warning cluster isnt on but the lights work and the radio works,leave key on and slam door,tap relays,or just wait the cluster comes on and then the Blazer will start..is this the switch,if so is there any other test to make before pulling switch..thanks in advance for your time

What is the fuel pressure?

Will it turn over but not fire is what you are saying?

The fuel pump was replaced about a mouth ago,and has been doing fine,the warning cluster being out the car wont start it will crank over and crank over at the right speed,when the cluster comes on you can hear the pump prime and the car will start and run fine until you turn it off and try to start it again the cluster will be out and its back to trying to get the cluster to come on to start the car..ecm fuse in fuse panel on end of dash doesnt have voltage on the fuse when the cluster is out but when the cluster comes on there is 12.3 volt on the fuse..there are two ecm fuses on in the panel the other one has 12.3 volt on it when key is in the on post.The fuse closest to the driver is the one without power with no cluster..where does the power for that fuse come from..am I making this harder then it seems..thanks for your help on this...The electric system was easier on the 60's and early seventies..showing my age ...

sounds like the ignition switch to me.

I have a 1997 blazer with the same problem. Was it the switch?
