B18B boosted

What all would I have to do to the motor of B18B to get it ready for a T3/T4 turbo kit?

Re: B18B boosted

Depends on how much power you're looking for. If you're not planning on going too far, then you can just boost the stock engine (as long as it has good compression on all cylinders and is well maintained). If you want quite a bit to a lot of power; then sleeves, rods, and pistons minimum. Otherwise to get more specific, search the forced induction forum.

Re: B18B boosted

This is the kit I'm building... And by the way, the LS is boost loving, you'll be fine with 7-8psi on stock internals.

-KRB Fabrication Log 304SS Manifold, with 3" Passenger side Down Pipe
-.48 Trim T3
-RC Engineering 550cc Injectors
-GReddy Type-S Blow-Off Valve
-TIAL 38mm Wastegate
-Front Mount Intercooler
-Fabricate the Boost Piping
-Missing Link MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) Adapter
-Golden Eagle Vaccum Log
-Oil Line Kit
-CROME Tune for 7psi

Nothing serious really, but it's a good system. It's costing me about $1,600 for everything, tuned. For about 200whp, that's not too bad.

Re: B18B boosted

That's what I'm installing on my Shitvic... Yes, the EX. 200whp on that set-up isn't out of question at all.

You can expect more out of the LS for sure... Especially with those 404's. I'm actually not sure how those Camshafts would react to boost... Hmmm, I've something to research.

Re: B18B boosted

Compressor size...

And yes, that's the price for the full system including the tune. It should be pretty fun... Until I notice the Compression on pistons dropping drastically. But not to worry, I've got that planned out

Holding 7-8 lbs is less then LS can really hold with a good tune and a motor holding 10-12 psi with out sending a rod half way into your block is far from what i'd call boost loving.

If you want to talk about boosting honda motors still both for n/a and boost whats best the c1 *not counting frankenstiens* look on honda tech mase was able to get 300WHP out of a stock gsr with 10psi you'd see around 220-240whp off 10 psi on a LS.

Also on your kit 550ccs might be too big depending on what your finished goals are.

Re: B18B boosted

They're definately a big large for what I'm doing right now... But it's all in the tune

I plan on going bigger, and better after my stock Internal Z6 destroys itself inevitably.

-9:1CR JE Pistons with Eagle Rods
-ACL Bearings
-Polished and Balanced Crankshaft to 9,000RPM
-ARP Head Studs
-DH Racing built Head

She'll be good for more boost then... It should be fun.
