5.3L in a Vic
Hey everyone I got a guy trying to blow smoke up my A$$ telling me he has a 5.3L in his vic. I asked him what year and he started to get a little sketchy. He said it is a modular engine available from ford on special order in '98 and newer vics. I've never seen one personally and I'd really like to know if it is indeed an option...cause there's no replacement for displacement
and I would consider swapping out my 4.6 for it. You guys would know so please tell me if its true. Thanks, Adam |

Can't fit the 5.4l in a CV, bull, its the same engine as the 4.6, just a longer stroke.

Re: 5.3L in a Vic
You can not fit the 5.4 in the Vic because since it has been stroked the engine is taller and you need a whole lot of body and suspension work to fit it in the car.

I have to check that out, I have one of each, I'll just measure the oil pan, I am going to discount the aluminum plenum because a plastic one would fit just fine.
