Exclamation altima tail lights and dash board lights not working

I put a cd player in my altima and now the dash board lights don't work and also the tail lights. I suspect a loose wiring harness but can't seem to find any. Any Ideas. My brake lights work fine.

Did you use a harness adapter or connect each wire? Some how the player is connected to the wire that goes to the dimmer switch for the dash lights.

There is a Red/Blue wire in the Altima radio harnesss that goes to the dash lights. The tail light wire is also Red/Blue. Electricity is flowing to where the least resistance is. Check to see which player wire(s) is connected to the Red/Blue wire.

Wouldn't disconnecting the harness make the lights work again? Because I tried that and it didn't.

I didn't at first but now I did. I figured it out thanks. since the wireing harness didn't haev a ground I found a ground wire and used it, it just happened to be the one for the dimmer. And I guess the tail lights won't work with the dimmer not working. Thanks for the help.
