I like cars not painted plastic body covers.

I'd rather build a geo with engine detail then a EVO IX without any engine detail.

What is an EVO without the 4G63?

muscle car lovers have all the fun.

Re: I like cars not painted plastic body covers.

i'm building an evo engine, from a mix of scratch parts an the moulded sump an bottem-end castings from tamiya kits, doubt it'll be resined or anything, just doing it for the experience.

See this is exactly my point. We are spending time scratch building ish that should be coming with the model to begin with. Its not bad enough we pay $35 for a little plastic model, but they get the last laugh by withholding the main part of a car- the engine. WTF?

I realized why it takes me a year to build a model now. Because 2/3's of the mofo is conceived entirely by hand!

Re: I like cars not painted plastic body covers.

the truck in my sig ? nope, it's fallen apart anyway, but i do have a few pics. im working on a new project, totally scratchbuilt all bar the cab, some chassis, some drivetrain an engine/gearbox. truck model (well most) have engines, an they're huge compared to car model engines, opens plenty of opportunity for engine detailing, an so much scratchbuilding.

you can see part of my design work (not the final edition of the designs) in my sig, been designing for over 2 months now.
